Innovation takes many forms here at Find, as we’re forever on the search for better ways to do things, and better experiences for our people and clients. Across the years we’ve done some pretty cool stuff, from sponsoring a distance runner back in ’08 through to committing ourselves to amazing pledges and organisations. Here’s a look back at the digital journey of Find across the years.

No KPI Environment

Back in 2008, in Find’s early days, we knew we wanted to be different and the answer to us was simple; No KPI’s or needless consultant sales targets. We wanted to be about authentic interactions and genuine relationships; giving our clients the confidence that when they receive a CV from Find Recruitment, it’s a thoroughly vetted candidate we’re confident in. This high-trust environment has led us from success to success, and we’re proud to have developed genuine relationships across our years in operation. We’re in the business of people, after all.

Full Digitisation & Flexibility

With the rise of technology and the need to adapt early on, we promptly began to transition our operations online. When the pandemic hit, we were well placed to swap to an online method of working, and having had flexibility in place already since 2018, our teams had adapted to remote working. Introduced as part of our trust-based model, our work-from-anywhere approach enabled our people to literally work from anywhere, and for some consultants this has meant they can work from home in Christchurch and still operate as part of our teams.

Branding Update

As our business evolved, so too did our brand – as we went from foundational orange to our vibrant pink and purple. Pete Thompson, Director of Find IT & Digital Auckland, was a deciding factor in this change, and he said that it came about as ‘we were seeking colours that represented our approach to modern day business. The pink and purple reflect our commitment to diversity and inclusion, and our mantra for fun and engaging business practices. 

Partnering with initiatives that matter

Across the years we've wanted to expand the impact we have on people, and Aotearoa. Amongst our partnerships we have teamed up with:

• The team at the Gender-at-Work Community, to review our business policies for internal care and to take the GenderPledge as a commitment to total equity across our business goals and activities.
• Autism New Zealand, to gain a broader understanding of how neurodiversity impacts kiwis across the nation, and how we can adapt and modify our processes to better support people.
• CarbonInvoice, so that we can directly offset our carbon emissions with each invoice, and fund the planting of native New Zealand trees in a fight against climate change. To date we've proudly funded 110 trees, with at least 800 more projected for the year ahead!
• The Mary Potter Hospice and the Laura Fergusson Trust, to give back to those in need and help these not-for-profit organisations take care of the most vulnerable in our communities. These organisations are doing phenomenal work to help people living with disabilities live full lives, and we're proud to be doing our part to help.

Plus, we have loads of other initiatives in the works which are yet to come (watch this space!) We're proud to commit to working with cool companies who are making positive difference on the lives of everyday New Zealanders and our beautiful nation.

FindTalent

Hiring is one of the most important decisions a company can make, but it's also one of the most challenging. With so many candidates to choose from, how do you know you're making the right choice? That’s where we introduced FindTalent. Positioned as a tool for our top-tier clients, it created a different style of application whereby a client could look at our pool of exceptional candidates directly and contact us about specific people. Currently undergoing a redevelopment, we hope to relaunch FindTalent in a new format soon.

In keeping up with technological advancements and making sure we’re at the top of our game, our website has undergone numerous iterations throughout the years. Finding the right talent is critical for the success of any business, and the process starts with a strong online presence. That's why were so excited to upgrade and announce the launch of the new Find website. With a sleek, modern design and user-friendly interface, it's never been easier to connect with top talent and take your business to the next level.

AI for the future

Keeping progressively focused, we have been early adopters of various ai systems across our business within the last 24 months. Through smart implementation, we’ve been able to streamline processes in the very back end of our systems, enabling our people to spend more time interviewing top talent, and focusing on their relationships with cool organisations. We’re always on the search for new and engaging automation, and continuously develop and update our systems to reflect this!
