In the past two weeks, both our Auckland and Wellington teams have had their Christmas Elf hats on gift wrapping - our Auckland team in association with Gifts for Kids/Plunket, and our Wellington team with the Mary Potter Hospice. Alongside other volunteers, we wrapped hundreds of gifts for charity, and we're proud to be doing our part to help those less fortunate and hope that in doing so we can spread joy nationwide.
We've partnered with gifts for kids for a number of years now, an organisation who works closely with Plunket to provide Christmas gifts to children who wouldn't otherwise get a single present to open on Christmas day. This year the Auckland team wrapped hundreds of gifts for disadvantaged children ranging in age from 0 to 14. We have also been partnering with the Mary Potter Hospice for a number of years now, a Wellington organisation that offers critical palliative care in the Wellington region. Each year we join them in running one of the many gift wrapping tables across Wellington to raise critical funds, and alleviate the burden of gift wrapping from those donating. We sent the Wellington team down in shifts throughout the day to man the wrapping station and take donations. You can learn more about Mary Potter Hospice, and donate, by clicking here.
It brings us great pleasure to be able to assist in the good work done by Gifts for Kids and the Mary Potter Hospice, and we look forward to continuing this tradition for Christmas next year, and years to come.
