Laura Fergusson Trust (Wellington) Incorporated (LFT) provides residential, community based, rehabilitative and recreational services to people with disabilities.
LFT provides comfortable, accessible, well-maintained residential facilities in Naenae and Whanganui, and community-based support services that enable people to live a supported and independent lifestyle.
LFT staff are expected to support residents to build on their abilities so they are able to live a life that is as independent as possible. This is a newly established role, working alongside the General Manager Operations, and reporting to the Chief Executive.
You will be working with the Chief Executive and the GM Operations to develop Strategic Plans for the Board. The annual business plan with follow on from this to support business functions and enable excellent support for service delivery.
You will be responsible for implementing the ICT strategy and developing and implementing the HR strategy.
You will also oversee financial matters including budgeting, forecasting, payroll, cash and asset management, and you will plan for and manage assets, hotel and infrastructure requirements.
The scope of service includes both the Naenae and Whanganui sites.
You will obviously have proven success in general management – ideally with a financial and ICT background.
You will have proven proficiency in dealing with complexity and creating clear pathways for your team.
You will be strong and assertive but relatable, approachable, and kind. You always behave with a high level of personal and professional integrity.
You will be great at developing and maintain relationships, consistently motivating people and removing barriers to allow exceptional service delivery.
You will have exemplary communication skills and an ability to roll your sleeves up when needed.
Key Skills and Experience Required:
- A strong financial background, preferably a Chartered Accountant qualification
- A degree in HR, Management or similar
- People leadership/HR experience
- At least 5 years experience in business and asset management
- Proven ICT strategy implementation and delivery
- Experience reporting to a Board.
