Reporting into the Executive Leader Finance and Corporate Services, this is an exceptional opportunity for a Senior Finance Leader to drive positive change and translate strategic initiatives and ideas into operational plans and results. You will lead the development and implementation of the operational plan across the finance team and will include management of the financial and management accounting team with an emphasis on business partnering and management accounting more so than the technical financial accounting.
You will manage a team of 10 people in this all-encompassing role that will require your efforts as a leader to have empathy and affinity with people as well as a positive outlook and can-do attitude. This will require the person to bring people along with them on the journey whilst effectively putting an arm around the team.
In this diverse role it is imperative to be system savvy and be able to demonstrate your ability to drive system and process implementations as well as optimising results. No day will be the same in this senior hands-on role that really does require the appetite for developing the team and being a catalyst for change.
Your experience will likely include:
- Professional Accounting membership – CAANZ or similar
- Demonstrable leadership and development experience of teams and relationships
- Strong financial analysis, business performance reporting and financial modelling skills
- Strategic business and finance focus
- A strong understanding of current accounting standards
- Providing positive input to change management and future plans
- Passion for contributing to the improvement of a growing and vibrant community
